OBD Star FCA 12+8 adapter

The FCA 12+8 adapter is an original, universal solution from OBDSTAR, designed specifically for FIAT, CHRYSLER and ALFA ROMEO vehicles manufactured after 2018. These vehicles feature an SGW (Security Gateway) module that blocks access to the OBD2 diagnostic port via a standard CAN link, preventing communication with the vehicle using non-original diagnostic devices.

Main functions and usage:

• The FCA 12+8 adapter allows you to bypass the SGW lock by connecting directly to the 12-pin and 8-pin connectors of the module in the vehicle, enabling normal communication with the car's systems.

• The device works with an OBDSTAR programmers(X300 DP, X300 DP Plus, X300 PRO4, Odo Master, X200 PRO2), which allows for speedometer calibration, key programming and reseting the service/oil error. It can also be used with different read and error removal diagnostic tools

User manual:

• To properly use the FCA 12+8 adapter, the 12 PIN and 8 PIN needs to be disconnected from SGW module inside the car and connect the adapter into those PINs.

• This will allow the device to bypass the SGW protection systems and access the full diagnostics and vehicle programming.

• The FCA 12+8 adapter supports modern FCA vehicles and can bypass the CAN security systems.
